Hi there everybody! As you can see from the titles I am going to tell you about the Terry Fox Run. As the Divine Piggy does it, it has been more than a boring run!
So with a great breather, here goes!
Once upon a time...
I came back from work, watched the telly, played Destruct-o-match till 6 and went down to take the bus. And I saw this Old Piggy taking trash cans from the rubbish bin. My piggy brain shuddered. Thee is still piggys out there picking litter for survival? Scavanging for food?
Then I started to sing, and as Devil Piggy would say, if I sing it rains. Well it did.

Well then a bee thought I was a tree and hang on to me like there was no tomorrow when a gust came. Then when I thought I was the only piggy in my area going for the run, there came a Runner Piggy going for the run too!
Well, at the Harbour Front Bus Interchange I was there with big crowd.

Of Terry Fox Run marshall piggys (you know, those nice piggys who cheer and points the way for you when you run like hell). I stood silent, and found myself in the same bus as many marshall piggys, being...
well... marshalled to a bus, given breakfast and a vest

which looks like I'm a Corrective Work Order piggy. Actually, they think I'm a marshall piggy because I'm young and wore the Terry Fox Run T-shirt (unlike the Runner Piggy who wore short shorts and those runner singlets)
Well as I was hungry, I ate the breakfast they have given me. Which composed of

a french bun (which looked like ginseng) , a muffin, a raisin bun and a sour puff, as well as

a banana, an apple and a water bottle. How thoughtful can the organiser piggys be?
It was running very heavily, and I my piggy guts are very empty, so I was really trembling. The group of marshall piggys which I have been assigned to happens to be around the underwater world. So here I was taking shelter along with the real marshall piggys...

Talking with the senior marshall piggys from the hotel Regent Singapore is very fun. We even took some photos together. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever see them again.
Well, the rain stopped the 8 km run which I was registered to. Thank the guts the 4km run is still continuing. The drizzle was still there though.
As the marshall piggys with me are for the 8 km run, we went back to Palawan beach.

we arrived at the Palawan beach carpark and went in...

and I found so many runner piggys, for once not marshall piggys but real, runner piggys. Some wearing Terry Fox Run T-shirts, some runner singlets, some with their affliated companys, some with their very own piggy family. The excitment can be tasted!

Then it was time to run! Even though there was the drizzle, everybodys squeezing together at first and the wet muddy floor, it did not deter us runner piggys from giving our best and keeping the Spirit of Terry Fox Run alive!
When I was running I saw this sign which I found interesting.

"Owners must clean up after their pets..." interesting...
Must we wipe our piggy asses after our doggies do so?
Well after the runabout...

The run starts to get kinda painful as my trotters hurts and I did not have enough sleep and I'm hungry. But with the perserverence not found in normal piggys, I managed to finish the 4 km race!

The annoucer piggy said before the race that any piggy who really want to run 8 km can run the 4 km twice!
But you know what?
Theres really piggys who did that.
Well, after the running Sporty Joe Piggy lead all of us in a really cool cooldown (pun intended. haha!)

The funny thing is, Sporty Joe Piggy is neither muscular or handsome, he is fat with a big pot belly and when he did all those exercises he was so funny, but we are very eager to do it with him!
There was marching and there was jumping and after the cool down none of us want to stop! Everybody was doing it: Ministers piggys, old piggys, young piggys, handsome piggys, pretty piggys... all of us did it as one! It was cool!
And just to tell you the day is still as gloomy...

But the spirit of Terry Fox is with us all!
Then came the Indonesian Idol Piggy who gave us all a very good number. After which some unknown band piggys called Legacy who made us covered our piggy ears.
The raffle draw drew the crowds back as the prizes are great! I was also rooting for myself. Some of the prices includes a 2 person suite at the 4 Seasons Hotel at the Maldives! Goodness that was good.
But of course my piggy luck did not get me the price...
The best price was... you know what? Stay at the 4 Seasons Hotel in Chiang Mai in Thailand as well as a trip in the Orient Express! Like that is better than the third price Maldives.
After the raffle draw you can say the crowds have disperse...

As most of them are right behind me queuing upfor the Lost souvenirs.

During the queuing there's this little piggy in front of me who drew this

reminded me of the olympics. Then a car appeared beside me out of nowhere.

Well, after all this and the souvenir (I got the worse one: The Lanyard) I got pretty wet (and I'm not talking about the gal piggys) and went home.
I am sure going to join next years Terry Fox run. There is so much enthusiasim and fun in there! Bananas and apple galore! (there are stores giving away free apples and bananas which everybody have their fill) People from many countries, Canada, Singapore... There were fan clubs there too (Liverpool, Leeds United). Piggys running united... families together... Terry Fox's spirit is in the air (not the spirit, the spirit of the marathon. Duh)
Well, with that, I leave you with the heaven I call school
